The After Prom Committees

*each committee requires at least (1) chairperson and several members

*each committee member is asked to help promote fundraisers 

Head Chairperson(s)

• manages social media accounts until a committee member is assigned.

• begins the process of finding new committee members.

• creates and maintains the event budget.

• main contact between the school officials and committees to reserve facility, tables & chairs, etc. 

• communicate fundraisers and event details with administration as needed for weekly newsletters and daily announcements.

• hires security for event.

• oversees all committees.

• Schedules monthly progress meetings

• Must be available to attend entire event or split event shift with a Co-Chairperson

• Must be available to help with setup and tear down to ensure that school property is being properly maintained.

Entertainment/Games Committee

• book DJ to perform at event

• book other types of entertainment, ie, caricature, balloon artist, photo booth, etc.

• reserve inflatables

• organize, create & setup games that students can play other than casino games, ie, 9 square, cornhole, checkers, chess, connect 4, spike ball, carnival type games, etc.

• Setup and decorate game area as needed.

• at least (1) member needs to attend monthly progress meetings.

• At least (1) member needs to work each volunteer shift to assist event volunteers.

Casino Committee

• makes sure that all casino equipment is in good condition. 

• decorates casino area as needed.

• At least (1) member needs to attend monthly progress meetings.

• At least (1) member needs to work each volunteer shift to assist event volunteers.

Food Committee

• determines what food/drinks will be served during the event.

• works within the community to get food/drink donations.

• arranges pickup/delivery of food the evening of the event.

• manages a food cart that floats around the MPIF with snacks and drinks.

• setup and decorate food area as needed.

• At least (1) member needs to work each volunteer shift to assist event volunteers.

• At least (1) member needs to attend monthly progress meetings.

Registration/Check-in Committee

• prep lanyards/tickets prior to the event 

• setup and decorate the entry area according to theme. 

• be available to work the registration/ check in tables the night of the event

• At least (1) member needs to attend monthly progress meetings.

Prize Committee

• creates a raffle/marketplace for students to win prizes.

• contacts local businesses for prize donations

• purchases prizes within the allowed budget

• setup/decorate prize area. 

• (1) member needs to be available for each volunteer shift to help and answer questions from prize volunteers and students.

• At least (1) member needs to attend monthly progress meetings.

Fundraising Committee

• At least (1) member needs to attend monthly progress meetings.

• schedules dine 2 donate events or other fundraising events.

• email/mail local businesses for monetary donations.

Social Media / Marketing Committee

• At least (1) member needs to attend monthly progress meetings.

• helps manage social media sites.

• promotes fundraising opportunities and event registration on local social media sites.
