Illumination Show Choir Auditions: February 5th-9th
Auditions are in February! We will teach the audition dance on a February 5th, with the video posted online to practice. Auditions for Dimension will be in August 2024! If you audition for Illumination and are interested in Dimension (treble or bass voices), please be sure to indicate this on your audition form and your audition for Illumination or any other choir will apply unless asked for a callback or dance audition.Our Choirs
Concert Choir (Intermediate Choir)
Concert Choir is for students with some experience in singing and choir. It is a three trimester course. Students must audition to enroll. It focuses on the fundamentals of singing, such as breathing, posture, tone production, and tone quality. The choir will sing and study many types of music throughout the year. Concert Choir explores various genres of music to get experience in all advanced choir styles. They perform at the Fall Concert, Show Choir Preview Show, and Spring Concert.
Limited Edition (Advanced Concert Choir)
Limited Edition is an advanced choir that performs SATB music. It is a full year commitment. The choir sings a wide variety of music. Limited Edition performs in three concerts, including Fall Concert, Holiday Festival and Spring Concert, throughout the year. All students participate in ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Contest and ISSMA Concert Choir State Qualifications Contest. Honors weight is given to this ensemble.
Signature Sound (Advanced Vocal Jazz)
Signature Sound is an advanced vocal jazz ensemble that performs SATB and divisi music. It is a full year commitment. The choir sings a variety of pop and jazz music. Signature Sound performs in three concerts, including Fall Concert, Holiday Festival and Spring Concert, throughout the year. They also perform in the community several times each year. All students participate in ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Contest and ISSMA Vocal Jazz Contest. Honors weight is given to this ensemble.
Illumination (Univoiced Competitive Show Choir)
Illumination is an advanced competitive univoiced show choir that performs SSA and SSAA music. It is a full year commitment. The course focuses on advanced singing technique, as well as ensemble skills and choreography.The choir sings pop, jazz, and musical theatre styles of music. Illumination performs at the Fall Concert, Holiday Festival, Show Choir Preview Show and Spring Concert, throughout the year with additional competitions in the winter. Illumination is a competitive show choir which includes an extracurricular component. All students participate in ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Contest and Show Choir Competitions. Honors weight is given to this ensemble.

Dimension (Mixed Show Choir) *Beginning Fall 2024!
Dimension is an advanced mixed show choir that performs SATB music. It is a commitment from August to April. The group focuses on singing technique and choreography. The choir sings pop, jazz, and musical theatre styles of music in show choir. Dimension performs at the Fall Concert, Show Choir Preview Show, and Spring Concert, throughout the year. Dimension has the potential to be a competitive show choir which includes an extracurricular components.
