Local assistance for food subsidies

No one should go hungry. If you are struggling financially, unable to make it to the grocery store, or facing food insecurity for any reason, please take advantage of the assistance that is available. Donations of groceries and funds are gratefully accepted by all of these organizations.


  • Westwood Food Pantry - call Social Services Director Kathie Elgert at 201-664-7100 ext. 110 for an appointment to pick up or donate food. Located in the Westwood Borough Hall, 101 Washington Avenue.

  • Westwood House Temporary Food Pantry - call Westwood House Manager Val Hartman at 201-666-1778. Donations may be left outside of the building by the front doors, located at 100 Madison Avenue, or you can ship items directly to the building to her attention.

  • Connex4NPO - contact Roei de Leon Mendez via Facebook or Lisa Bontemps at 201-834-4192. Deliveries of fresh bread, produce, dairy, meat, etc. are currently scheduled for Saturday afternoons.

  • St. Andrew’s RC Church Food Pantry - contact 201-666-1100. Open for pickup Thursdays from 6:45 to 7:30 pm. Located at 120 Washington Ave, Westwood. Serves all Pascack Valley residents.

  • Helping Hand Food Pantry - contact Jody Winsick-Soluri at 201-664-0600. Located in the Hillsdale Methodist Church, Magnolia at Washington Avenues. Serves all Pascack Valley residents.

  • TriBoro Food Pantry - contact Janelle Larghi at 201-573-9083. Located in the Pascack Reformed Church, 65 Pascack Road, Park Ridge. Serves all Pascack Valley residents.

  • Meals on Wheels North Jersey - contact Jeanne Martin at 201-358-0050. Registration required. Volunteers are needed. Serving home-bound individuals throughout northern Bergen County with frozen meals for the duration of the emergency
