Sep 5th 2024 - First day of School

We loved seeing all the happy smiling faces on the first day back to school.  We welcomed the families of incoming Kindergartners and new families with a breakfast, and each new student was gifted a school spirit t-shirt

We treated out amazing teachers to a welcome back to school lunch!

Sep 19th-20th 2024 - Fall Book Fair

Our first book fair of the year, students stocked up on books for the year and parents stocked up on holiday gifts.  Thank you to all the families that donated books to their classes

Sep 27th 2024 - Fun Fitness

Another successful Fun Fitness with a great afternoon filled with agility, strength, mindfulness and sportsmanship, while raising money through pledges, and a surprise visit from Xavier Newaman of the NY Jets

October 2nd 2024 - Walk To School Day

Our Washington School families joined us in our 3nd annual Walk to School Day! We had the best time walking from the library to school!

October 14th-18th 2024 - Theatre Week

This year the children performed "Mother Naure's Magical Kingdom", an awesome time was had by all our performers and audience!

October 25th 2024 - Trunk or Treat

Our Annual Trunk or Treat was a 'Spooktacular' hit, with even more cars and more visitors than ever before and lots of candy, treats and snacks!

December 9-13th 2024 - Holiday Shoppe 

Our little shoppers shopped for their friends and families, learning how to manage their money and the the joy of gift giving!

January 9th 2025 - Military Bridge

A fun night out for the ladies with bridge, drinks, snacks, all while raising money for the school

January 17th 2025 - Popcorn Day

We treated our students and teachers to a special treat for National popcorn day to get their weekend popping!

January 23rd 2025 - Family Bingo Night

Our annual Family Bingo Night hosted jointly with the 5th grade committee.  A great night of fun for the entire family 

February 7th 2025 - Sweetheart Dance

Love, laughter and fun filled out sweetheart dance where our Washington students enjoyed an evening with their sweethearts and friends, with lots of tretas, music, photos and more....

March 3rd-7th 2025 - Read Across America Week

For Read across America Week we decorated classroom doors and hallways, had character visits, and a special visit from the Bergen County Sheriffs office and Tony Adams of the NY Jets 

March 6th 2025 - National Oreo Day

We treated all our students and staff on National Oreo Day!

March 14th 2025 - Science Fair

Our very first Science fair was a hit! Students from 3rd-5th grade brand their creativity in creating amazing science experiments

March 21st 2025 - March Madness Washington Vs. George Dads Basketball Game

Washington School Dads played George School Dads to raise money for our very own Totaro family - Washington Dads brought home the win!

April 2025 - Autism Awareness Month

April is Autism Awareness month. Our school community came together to create a beautiful puzzle, where each student decorated a unique piece refelcting the idea that every individual is an important part of our community.

April 24th 2025 - Viva Las Gala

What happens at the gala stays at the gala! Our Vegas themed annual gala and tricky tray was an amazing and fun night out for the parents

May 5th-9th 2025 - Teacher Appreciation Week

We celebrated our teachers for teacher appreciation week, with amazing breakfasts, lunches and snacks, as well as a daily rafffle; and decorated their doors! 

We appreciate all our educators and staff!

June 6th 2025 - Field Day

One of our favorite events, organized by Mr. O, and supported by the PSO, our children enjoyed fun activities and icies!

June 11th-12th 2025 - Spring Book Fair

Buy one get one free, just in time for summer reading! The PSO also donated over $1,000 worth of books to Grace's Gold Ribbon Gang to deliver to Hackensack Pediatric Oncology unit

June 17th 2025 - End of Year Party

A great end to the year with a party for all our Washington students, with bouncy houses, pizza, icies and snacks!

2024 - 2025 - Monthly Dads and Donuts

Throughout the year we held our monthly Dads and Donuts meetings, with a special event including Moms in May for Mothers day

June 19th 2025 - School is out

As the school year ends, the PSO ends its term......Enjoy the summer!

Sept 7th 2023 - First Day of School

We welcomed back all our Cardinals and invited all our new families and KG parents to a Welcome Breakfast on the first day of school, gifting each Kindergartner and new student with a t-shirt and stationary starter pack to share the school spirit!

Welcome back to school lunch for our amazing staff, we love and appreciate you and everything you do!  

Sept 29th 2023 - Fun Fitness

You don't need a common-sense-o-nater to see the kids had a blast at the science assembly with The Grand Falloons

October 16th - 20th 2023 - Theatre Week

Yee-haw! Our fantastic cast of The Ballad of Goodbye Gulch: a Rootin', Tootin' Good Time performed their hearts out to a packed audience and deserved every ounce of applause they received!

October 28th 2023 - Trunk or Treat

Our annual Trunk or Treat was a Spooktacular success with amazing costumes, trunks, food, music and prizes!

November 17th 2023 - Kindergarten Basket of Books

Our incoming Kindergartners enjoyed an afternoon of storytelling and snacks and received a bag full of age appropriate books

All our students enjoyed an assembly presented by Justin Ellen from "Everything Just Baked" bakery, and the hit Netflix series "is it cake"

March 4-8th 2024 - Read Across America Week

For Read across America Week we decorated classroom doors and hallways, all students had a blind date with a book, and participated in a mini Readathon, we had character visits, and our parents donated to our Book Drive for Grace's Gold Ribbon Gang

March 6th 2024 - National Oreo Day

March 15th 2024 - March Madness Washington Vs. George Dads Basketball Game

Washington School Dads played George School Dads to raise money for 2 deserving local families - Washington Dads brought home the win!

May 2nd 2024 - Gala

This years theme for our annual spring gala was "White Party"

May 6th-10th 2024 - Teacher Appreciation Week

We truly appreciate our teachers, and treated them to breakfasts, lunch and treats through the week, and decorated their doors!

May 9th-10th 2024 - Plant Sale

The annual plant sale gave our little shoppers a chance to pick out their favorite flowers and plants 

May 31st 2024 - Dads & Donuts (year end)

Our monthly Dads and Donuts came to end end with a special invitation for moms, and a handover from our long running to chair to the next in line!

June 2024 - Kindergarten Beautification

Our beautification committee spruced up the kindergarten area giving it some much needed TLC

June 3rd 2024 - Planetarium Assembly

Brought to our kids by "Whats out there" teaching the children about the galaxy and solar system, the night sky and how to find planets, stars and constellations

June 7th 2024 - Field Day

Field day was a hit, made better with a wet down by the FD and icies!

June 13th - 14th 2024 - Book Fair

Spring book fair - buy one get one free, just in time for summer reading!

June 18th 2024 - End of Year Party
