Meet the Teacher

Hi!! My name is Miss Severini and I am elated to be your teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This is my second year teaching, and I am so incredibly excited to continue my education career at Jessie F. George. I graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey earning my Bachelors in Elementary Education as well as my Masters degree in Special Education. I firmly believe that every child is capable of learning and individuality is crucial to success in the classroom. This has always been my teaching philosophy as someone with a lifelong love of learning, and my goal is to bring this to my future students. Seeing the progression and growth, a child's excitement to learn, and making strong connections to students drives my genuine passion for teaching. I cannot wait to have an amazing year!

 I would love to share a little bit more about me! I have a wonderful support system of a family and friends as well as my dog Stu. When I am not at school, I love being with people closest to me, being outside, or reading a good book. My favorite animals are cows, giraffes, and dogs, and my favorite place is the beach or doing something adventurous. Something people may not guess about me is I am a second degree black belt in Taekwondo and have been teaching martial arts for the past 9 years! I have always wanted to be a teacher, and I am so excited to continue my journey as an educator with each and every one of you.
