Students build upon knowledge learned in Digital Photography I to develop more complex artistic photographic images through the use of digital SLR cameras. Digital Photography II has been designed to assist in broadening students’ understanding and knowledge of the relationship between exposure, image post-processing, and the finished print. Students are expected to demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of composition and the elements and principles of design while applying problem solving skills and individual discovery to broaden their understanding of how to utilize the photographic medium as a means of communication and personal voice. Advanced techniques are used in the creation of final images. Photographs begin to move away from realism in search of stronger artistic expression directly related to the student’s interest. Students will work on creating their portfolio.
