Philosophy

Teamwork, acceptance of defeat and victory, and excitement about progress in physical

fitness are paramount in my teaching and coaching. Students are happier and more enthusiastic

about school when they feel stronger physically.  Many studies show the parallel between

academic success and participation in physical activity and sports. The students in my classes and

on my teams learn to prioritize their responsibilities, manage time effectively and work toward

the goals they set for themselves.


Students improve their coordination, physical strength and knowledge of good health through my instruction and

guidance.  Safety, fairness and active participation are my trademarks. I encourage students to be

enthusiastic and driven to succeed by supporting creative approaches and techniques.


It’s my hope that our students would value and make physical education part of their lifelong learning.
