He earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Education Degree from The College of New Jersey and has been teaching band, choir, musical theater, and general music in public schools for the past several years. This will be Mr. Barbieri's third year in the Westwood Regional School District and he is excited to be sharing his passion for music with the students of Berkeley and Brookside Elementary.

During his time as a student at the College of New Jersey, Mr. Barbieri had the pleasure of performing numerous instrumental and vocal recitals, worked as a concert hall technician, and even performed at Lincoln Center in New York City with The College of New Jersey's Choirs. Mr. Barbieri actively performs as a pit musician for local high school and theater programs, and currently assistant directs high school marching band.

It is Mr. Barbieri's goal to provide his students with the tools necessary to play instruments, read music, display their talents, and perform at their best. The gift of music gives children added confidence in expressing themselves in a very creative way. He strives to create a musical environment in his classroom where every student can feel safe and welcomed to learn and grow.
