Mr. Barbieri is a Middle School Music Teachers, teaching Band, Choir, and General Music to students in grades six through eight at Westwood Regional Middle School. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Education Degree from The College of New Jersey and has been teaching band, choir, musical theater, and general music in public schools for the past ten years. This will be Mr. Barbieri's eighth year in the Westwood Regional School District and he is excited to be sharing his passion for music with the students of Westwood Regional Middle School.
During his time as a student at the College of New Jersey, Mr. Barbieri had the pleasure of performing numerous instrumental and vocal recitals, worked as a concert hall technician, and even performed at Lincoln Center in New York City with The College of New Jersey's Choirs. Mr. Barbieri actively performs as a pit musician for local high school and theater programs, and currently assistant directs high school marching band.
It is Mr. Barbieri's goal to provide his students with the tools necessary to play instruments, read music, display their talents, and perform at their best. The gift of music gives children added confidence in expressing themselves in a very creative way. He strives to create a musical environment in his classroom where every student can feel safe and welcomed to learn and grow.
