My name is Mary Beth Alepa. I graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am IMSE Orton-Gillingham Certified as well as a certified Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Interventionist. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade and ESL in New Jersey, Georgia and Florida. I also worked as a Reading Interventionist for 4th and 5th grade.
This is my sixteenth year at Washington School. This is my fifth year working as an Academic Support Instructor for grades K-5. My role is to support students to be successful in the mainstream classroom. An intervention time has been set aside every day for each grade level. During this time, I will be able to provide small group instruction in my classroom in the areas of language arts and/or math. This will allow my students extra time for practice and reinforcement of material in addition to core classroom instruction.
I am very happy to be a part of the Washington School family! I look forward to a wonderful school year!
