Performance Schedule

Rehearsal Expectations

  • Rehearsals are Monday 3 - 4 pm

  • Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00

  • All rehearsals are mandatory. Please make the directors aware of any absences at least a week in advance.

  • Unexcused absences from rehearsals may result (at the director's discretion) in the member being benched from that week's performance.

  • DO NOT SCHEDULE EXTRA ACADEMIC HELP or DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENTS DURING MARCHING BAND REHEARSALS.

  • The only excused absences are being absent from school or a family emergency. Excessive excused absences may also result in being benched (at the director's discretion).

Performance Expectations

  • Please check performance dates and make sure you can attend all of the games (Home and Away).

  • All performances are mandatory. If you are unable to attend due to a family obligation, (i.e. wedding, bar mitzvah, etc.) Mr. Peña must be notified by email or phone call before the start of the school year. Notification after that point will be considered unexcused.

  • It is imperative that all members attend all games and competitions. We work as a unit and the drill is written with the exact number of bodies. Missing members create holes in the drill.

  • Competitions are usually in October and November and are all day events. Please do not plan vacations or college visits during the dates listed in this handbook.

  • We do have football games on the long weekends when school is not in session, such as the Teacher's Convention Weekend in November.

  • Please note that although our regular season ends early in November we will continue to perform at games if the team qualifies for the State Playoffs. We can potentially play until early December.

Parent Involvement

  • Parent chaperones are always needed to assist at games. Please contact Mr. Peña if you are interested in helping.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
