Dear Parents,
It’s back-to-school time! Your child will be introduced to many new and exciting things this year: a new classroom,new friends, new teachers and new ways to learn and grow.
Reading is such an important part of your child’s education. That is why I am introducing you to Scholastic Book Clubs.Scholastic offers books at appropriate reading levels for our class, at very reasonable prices. Plus, each time our class places an order we earn BonusPoints which we can redeem for FREE books and other helpful materials for our classroom!
Each month, I will be sending home oneor more order form(s). This is a wonderful way to fill your child’s world withbooks and encourage the love of reading. Purchasing books from this club iscompletely optional, however parents find it to be an easy, economical way tobuild your child’s reading library with age appropriate books and a way toincrease your child’s interests in reading!
Now it’s easier than ever to find theperfect books for you child by shopping the NEW online Book Clubs Website.Choose from a much wider selection of books than in the printed flyer. Plus,you can send your orders directly to me online and use your credit card to pay.
It’s so simple! Here’s how it works:
SIGN UP at www.scholastic.com/bookclubs.On the parent page, register by clicking the “Don’t have a user name andpassword?” link. When prompted, enter the one-time CLASS ACTIVATION CODE shown below. This unique code ensures thatyour order is sent to me.

SELECT the books you’d like to order- choose from thousands of titles-many more than our monthly flyers.
SEND your order to me online by the due date and your child’s books will be delivered directly to my classroom. Ordering online is fast, easy and secure.
You can still order using the form from the printed flyer if you choose. Please fill in and cut out the completed order form found in the back of the flyer. Be sure you have filled in all the necessary information and make out your check or money order to: Scholastic Book Club. Put your child’s first and last name, along with my name on the front of the envelope (no cash please).
Current research studies show that the children who have access to a large supply of books and who are read to daily become better readers!
