About Miss Trentham

Why did I become a teacher?

I love to help children learn and would love to make a difference in their lives. I am a very nurturing and caring person with a passion to teach children. I believe my experiences have taught me patience and how to help and work through any problem. I am here for the students as a teacher, role model and confidant.

What was my education?

I attended Ramapo College of New Jersey where I attained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education, and a Master's Degree in Special Education.

What are my goals as a teacher?

I want to create a classroom that is a welcoming, cheerful and busy learning environment, that provides a strong education for students of all learning styles and interests. I want to develop a love of learning for my students. I want to teach them academics as well as life long lessons. I want to be a person that students can trust and confide in. I want to develop a close knit relationship with the community including other staff and parents. I will ensure they feel safe and welcome in my classroom.

What are my personal interests?

My personal interests include spending time with my family and friends, reading, cooking, exercising and trying new restaurants. I love going to the beach in the summer and football games in the fall. I love the New York Giants! My favorite time of year is the summer, when I can go to Long Beach Island with my family. I look forward to learning a lot about my students interests this year!
