My name is Jennifer Ashinsky and this is my eleventh year teaching the primary grades in the Resource Room at Berkeley Elementary School. I was born and raised in Livingston, New Jersey and I graduated from Livingston High School in 2007. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education from Syracuse University in May of 2011. My interests include traveling, sports, seeing Broadway shows and concerts, going to the beach and shopping! I have worked with children in a variety of settings since I was twelve years old. I got married in October of 2014. In July of 2019 I gave birth to my first child, a daughter, named Aubrey Jade. I love being a mommy, in addition to my job as a teacher.

I have dreamed about becoming a teacher since I was five years old. My kindergarten teacher was definitely my role model. She inspired me in a way that no other teacher ever has. I hope to do the same for all of my students. I firmly believe that each and every child is absolutely capable of learning and that my job as an educator is to foster a sense of belonging and self-confidence in every one of my students. I appreciate the individuality of each child and I am ready to meet the challenges of finding ways to reach all of my students. My students will work diligently to develop the self-confidence and self-esteem they need to be proud of their accomplishments.

Please feel free to contact me at jennifer.ashinsky@wwrsd.org if you have any questions or concerns. I truly enjoy working at Berkeley and I am excited to begin this new school year. Thank you for sharing your children with me.
