WWRSD has heART is Westwood Regional School Districts annual art contest about having heART

WWRSD has heART is about using our artistic talents to help others in need. Works of student art will be selected from each school and shared with the community. The public will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite images. 14 finalists will be selected to represent the district in the WWRSD has heART charity event.


Directions

  1. Create a work of art inspired by the theme, Peace and Togetherness

  • Work must be COMPLETELY ORIGINAL! Work copied from any outside source will not be accepted. This includes cartoon characters and fan art. Submitted work should be completely created by the student participating (NOT a parent/guardian).

  • IMAGE SIZE: 8" x 10" (portrait or landscape) please leave a little extra border for framing

  • MEDIUM: Any 2 dimensional medium (i.e. paint, photography, pencil, collage, digital drawing)

  • DUE DATE: Thursday, December 22, 2022

  • WHO: K-12 students attending a school in the Westwood Regional School District


  1. Photograph the work and submit it on the form. Refer to this video to learn tips on, HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH ART


  1. SAVE THE ORIGINAL WORK OF ART! If the work is selected as a finalist, the original will need to be delivered to Westwood Regional High School for framing for the Gallery Exhibit.


Judging

Art will be judged on THEME, CREATIVITY/ORIGINALITY, and QUALITY. Students from each school and a variety of grades will be selected. We are looking for AGE APPROPRIATE work. In addition to a panel of artists and art teachers, the community will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite images.
