The Jessie F. George PSO is volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to supporting our community by enriching the experience of students, parents, and staff. Our goal is to facilitate positive engagement and advancement, both at school and in the home. We provide parents with the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, events, and fundraising initiatives that directly benefit our children's education and well-being. We advocate for: Every child, every family, every voice.
Here are just a few ways the PSO works to support our school:
Funding classroom resources and programs: From math manipulatives to author visits, the PSO helps to provide our school with tools that bring learning to life.
Organizing fun and engaging school events: We host family-friendly activities like fall fest, book fairs, and movie nights, fostering a strong sense of community.
Supporting teacher appreciation initiatives: We recognize the incredible work of our teachers/staff and show them our gratitude throughout the year.
There are countless ways to become involved in the PSO, regardless of your schedule or availability, there are opportunities for everyone! Here are some ideas:
Join a committee: Share your talents and interests by joining a committee dedicated to a specific area. A Google slides presentation of the various committees is forthcoming.
Attend monthly PSO meetings: Stay informed about school happenings, connect with other parents, and share your ideas. All meetings will be held in person at 7PM, with the option to join virtually should you not be able to attend in person.
Volunteer for events: Lend a helping hand at events and bring the school community together.
