Single use plastic bags are unnecessary and awful for wildlife and the environment. To learn more about the damage they do, check out 10 Facts About Single Use Plastic Bags.
Westwood Regional advanced art students have started the Eco Bag Project to increase awareness and help stop the over use of single use plastic bags. These young artists create original silk-screened canvas bags to raise money for The Hackensack River Keepers, a local nonprofit dedicated to protecting, preserving, and restoring our natural waterways. This project has been made possible by a grant received from the Westwood Arts Council and a partnership with the Westwood Green Team.
Bags will be sold at the Westwood Arts Amble on June 11, 2022 from 4-8 pm and in local establishments (TBA)
