About Me

Get ready to drink it up!

Welcome to my classroom.  My name is Christin Morales and I am so excited to work with your child this year!  I am a graduate of William Paterson University where I studied Education, Psychology, and Anthropology.  In my classroom students are encouraged to consider education a life long journey.  I take pride in being a life long learner myself and share that idea with my students.

It is an honor to be your child's first teacher in their public school career.  Although I know that this year is going to bring a new view of how school look, I promise that I have spent this summer preparing for this new adventure and am ready to bring your child a great year where they will play, work, and learn!  I incorporate music, art, and technology into all my core lessons giving students multiple ways to learn new information.  I guarantee that before long you that before long you will hear them singing about space, shapes, sight words, and even life cycles.  Students at this age absorb information and have a thirst for knowledge.  I am here to keep their glasses full!

Outside of Brookside I am a mother to two wonderful children.  My daughter is a Freshman and my son is a Junior at WWRHS.   At home we have a lovebird named Annie, a hedgehog named Hattie, and a bernedoodle named Aberdeen.  You may see us throughout town riding our bikes, volunteering at events, or at our Friday night football games.  Our favorite thing to do is learn about nature.  Some of our favorite spots are: Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Wildwood, Mystic Aquarium, and the National Aquarium!  We love interacting with ocean animals as well.  We have listened to a penguins heartbeat, walked on a shark cat walk,  pet a beluga whales tongue, and even visited a marine field station!

Whether I am teaching about the letter /j/, the number 27, or the parts of a plant, I focus on bringing enthusiasm and passion to each lesson.  Students are excited to learn when their teacher is excited to teach...and rest assured I am!!

Cheers!
