2018 - International School for Jain Studies: Teaching Peace and Non-Violence - Mrs. O'Neill was one of 13 teachers from the United States to be accepted into this study abroad program in India. The group traveled to Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Jalgaon and Pune, where they visited seven different schools and attended lectures on Ahimsa and Jainism. December 2018 - April 2019 Mrs. O'Neill has been accepted, for the second time, into the East Asian Studies Program through the Freeman Foundation at Princeton University on Saturdays and will earn 18 professional development credits.
Summer 2019 - Mrs. O'Neill has been accepted into her second program through the International School for Jain Studies and will travel to India again this summer, where she will study the Prakrit language!
2005 - Mrs. O'Neill was selected to participate in the Teacher Institute panel discussion at the 2005 National Endowment for the Humanities site visit in Trenton, NJ.
2005 - 2006 - Mrs. O'Neill was recognized by Who's Who Among American Teachers.
2009 – Mrs. O'Neill was nominated for the Teacher of the Year Award of The New Jersey Council for the Humanities.
2009 – Recipient of a Resolution from the New Jersey State Legislature with commendations for contributions to the education of New Jersey's children
2020 - Mrs. O'Neill received the following notification from the Morpho Institute and plans to spend two weeks this summer in Peru studying the Amazon! Mrs. O'Neill proudly was chosen second place out of 40 applicants around the country and internationally and will be awarded $1250 toward the tuition for this professional development.
