Counselor's Role

I'd like to share some of the programs the Counseling Department has to offer. At each school, individual and small group services are available for all students, as well as classroom guidance lessons. The elementary years are a very important time in our students lives. They are beginning to develop decision making, communication and life skills, as well as character values. This is also a time where our students will develop and acquire attitudes towards school, peers, social groups, families and most importantly self. I am here to work with you and your families to make sure this is a positive experience.

The American School Counseling Association has developed standards in the academic, career, and personal/social domains. Through collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrators, I strive to support and nurture the "whole" child. I will do this by addressing all concerns while implementing these standards into the counseling program. I look forward to working with you and helping in any way that I can.
