All About Mrs. Seigle

This will be my eleventh year teaching in the Westwood Regional School District. Before joining the Westwood School District, I graduated from the School of Education at Syracuse University with a B.S in both general and special education. Afterwards, I received a masters degree in Literacy from Hunter College.

As a First Grade teacher, my goal is to create a risk-free learning environment that meets the needs of all my learners. I will use different tools to find the strengths in all my students and create a successful learning path that is built upon these strengths. In addition to finding the appropriate strategies and develop new understandings to help my students become more independent readers and writers, I hope to instill in them their love for learning as early as I did.

Outside the classroom, I love to spend time with my family. My son Bennett is my world. I love watching him love life. My favorite activities are skiing, tennis, shopping and spinning! Pizza is my favorite food and Disney World is my favorite place to visit ( Can you tell?).
