Thank you for a great year! School Begins Aug. 20th.
I am Misty Pachello and I am grateful to be one of the second grade teachers here at Woodrow. Over a decade ago I fell in love with Woodrow and knew in my heart this was the school for me. I have never experienced a community such as Woodrow and feel so fortunate to be surrounded with such caring and dedicated coworkers, parents , and students! I have been reading coach, taught K, 1, and now have found my forever home in second grade. I absolutely LOVE second grade and working with second grade students. Everyday is a new adventure in learning and friendship. I am a native of Colorado and am married to my middle school sweetheart. In our over 35 years together we have managed to raise two amazing kids, Bennie and Rylie. I spend my free time with family, friends, and good books. I love to spend time outdoors camping, at the beach, or relaxing in my yard all with a good book of course! My hope each day is that our families and students find the same comfort, support , and belonging that I find at Woodrow!
Hello Woodrow Wilson Academy Second Grade Families! My name is Samantha Delgado and I am so excited to be part of your children’s school experience. I am a proud Colorado native and have been married for 23 wonderful years. Together, my husband and I have three amazing children who are 25, 22, and 9 years old. Two of our children even attended Woodrow Wilson Academy, which makes working here extra special to me. I am also a very proud grandma to a sweet little boy who keeps our family smiling. Our home is always full of energy with our three bulldogs and one dachshund. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, drawing, rock hounding, and camping in beautiful Colorado. Most of all, being a mom, grandma, and wife is what truly makes me feel complete. I have had the privilege of working at Woodrow Wilson Academy for almost nine years, and I truly love being part of this wonderful community. I look forward to a fantastic year getting to know your children and partnering with you to help them learn and grow.
I’m Shannon West and I am loving it here in 2nd grade! I came to Woodrow in 2010 as a long term sub and then reading coach. I immediately fell in love with the community this school provided and truly felt like this was the place for me. I was thrilled to become a 2nd grade teacher in 2011, and I’ve been here ever since. I have loved every minute of teaching 2nd grade -- the students are at such a fun age where they are becoming more independent and are so excited to learn! I have lived in Colorado my whole life and truly love everything Colorado has to offer - the beautiful views, the sunshine, and the experiences with nature overall. I spend most of my free time enjoying my family, including a wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters that are so much fun to be around. We watch movies, read, play cards, ride bikes, play soccer, play board games, and enjoy the great outdoors. Some of our favorite games to play include Canasta, Labyrinth, and all things Mario. I am happy to be sharing in your child’s educational journey!
Hello! My name is Ella German, and I am a dedicated Educational Assistant here at Woodrow. Woodrow has always held a special place in my heart because I was a student here myself from Kinder through 8th grade. I have always considered Woodrow my second home, so it is incredibly special to now be a part of the staff. I have been working at Woodrow since 2023 and absolutely love supporting students in their learning everyday. It is espeically meaningful to work in 2nd grade alongside Mrs. West, who was actually my own 2nd grade teacher when I attended Woodrow! I am currently working towards my degree in Elementary Education and hope to become a teacher in the future. I have lived in Colorado my whole life and love being outdoors. In the winter I love snowboarding, and in the summer I love camping. In my free time I enjoy doing nails, reading, and relaxing with a good tv show. I feel very lucky to be a part of the Woodrow community and look forward to helping students learn, grow, and have a great year in 2nd grade!
