Hi! I am Ms. Westman and I am currently teaching middle school Social Studies and Electives. I graduated with my degree in Physical Education and History from Black Hills State University. I am the mom to two beautiful daughters. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, jiu jitsu, spending time outdoors, and going on adventures with my daughters. I have been fortunate to be a part of the teaching staff at WWA for over 25 years and both of my daughters have attended. I love WWA for its amazing community, families, teachers, staff and administration.

Hi, I'm Mrs. Knight and teach 7th - 8th grade science as well as various electives for middle school. This is my  22 year of teaching and 10th year here at WWA. Both of my own children were here from Kindergarten all the way through 8th grade.

I earned a Bachelors degree in Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University. Then went back to school at University of Colorado at Denver to get a  Masters in Teaching and Education with an emphasis in science.  

Outside of here I'm often watching and/or photographing my own kids playing soccer or for the local high school sports, playing golf with my husband or out paddleboarding with friends.

My name is Jamie Salomon, I am a 7th and 8th grade math teacher at Woodrow Wilson Academy. This is my fifth year at WWA. I will be the coed cross country coach again this year. I know it will be another great year and I couldn't be more excited!

I graduated from North Georgia University with a bachelors in Middle School Math Education. I have been teaching math for eight years. While I am originally from Seattle and Atlanta, I have found my forever home in Denver and have lived here for 11 years now. I look forward to continuing to grow professionally as an educator at WWA and supporting the academic development of all students.

Hi! I'm Ms. Sakurada, the Math Interventionist and 8th Grade Honors Geometry teacher at Woodrow Wilson Academy. This is my second year at WWA and my 10th year in education. I earned my B.A. in Economics from Occidental College, as well as a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in STEM from CU Boulder. Driven by a passion for lifelong learning, I am also currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at CU Denver. My goal each day is to make math approachable, build problem-solving confidence, and inspire my students to reach their highest potential.

While my teaching and doctoral studies keep me plenty busy,  I cherish every opportunity to spoil my niece and nephew and escape to New York City whenever I can. I am thrilled to be back for another wonderful school year and look forward to partnering with our incredible WWA community!
