Mission:

To be the source of competent and caring Filipino family physicians in Western Visayas, committed to promotion and delivery of quality holistic primary care in all levels of health care in their communities, bridging the gap between the hospital and the community, by regularly honing their skills in the course of continuing medical education, zealously promoting medical research and extension and constantly providing accessible care to patients and their families through the entire spectrum of life.

Vision:

1. To cultivate and develop professionally competent family physicians who are highly skilled in the rudiments of primary health care, upholding core Filipino family values and culture in caring for patients and their families

2. To put hospice / palliative care as an integral function of the family physician’s competency \

3. To inspire ingenuity, innovation and synergism in the community by organizing, implementing and evaluating primary health care programs developed by and for the community

4. To propagate and invigorate research in family medicine particularly in the fields of primary health care, home care and palliative care

5. To establish a strong collaboration with other departments and networks built on trust and mutual respect
