COURSE DESCRIPTION: Social Studies is the study of the individual and his interaction with the various groups to which she/he belongs. Social Studies increases social awareness by placing emphasis on values as well as interpersonal relationships. Students will work together in small groups to complete projects that will enhance their knowledge and bring awareness to world cultures and history and how they are relevant to the Bahamas.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Social Studies is the study of the individual and his interaction with the various groups to which he belongs. Social Studies increases social awareness by placing emphasis on values as well as interpersonal relationships. Students will be exposed to international issues, important world figures and cultural expressions that have made an impact on world history. They will analyse how these real world issues have had an impact on literature in both classical and contemporary times.
