Cybersecurity grant program specifically for state, local, and territorial (SLT) governments to help them strengthen their cyber resilience. Established by the State and Local Cybersecurity Improvement Act, and part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the SLCGP provides $1 billion in funding over four years to support SLT governments as they develop capabilities to detect, protect against, and respond to cyber threats.

The Cybersecurity Planning committee for West Virginia is pleased to present to the State of West Virginia Cybersecurity Plan. The Cybersecurity Plan represents West Virginia’s continued commitment to improving cybersecurity and supporting our State, as well as cybersecurity practitioners across our local jurisdictions. In addition, this update meets the requirement of the current U.S. Department of Homeland Security guidelines for the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP).
This Plan has been developed with actionable and measurable goals and objectives. These goals and objectives focus on cyber risk, cyber outreach, cyber protection, and cyber operations They are designed to support our entity in planning for new technologies and navigating the ever-changing cybersecurity landscape. They also incorporate the SLCGP required plan elements.
