5th Grade: Wyatt Cooke
Wyatt Cooke is an exemplary 5th grader. In his free time he loves to play games, and is especially good at football. At school, he enjoys Mr. Bennett's math class the most, and math is his favorite subject. If he could choose any food as a favorite, it would definitely be hotdogs. Congratulations Wyatt!

Volleyball season, at Willcox Middle School, was short but definitely worth it. There were some new girls on the team, and there were also many girls that have played before. Due to the Coronavirus, we were only able to schedule four games, two of which we won. We played against St. David (twice), Pearce and, Bonita. Some people learned how to play new positions that they have never even played before! We all enjoyed the huge amount of fun we had in such a little amount of time.
The practices were definitely different then they had been in the past. We adjusted to the circumstances and practice/played the best we could. We tried to social distance the best we could, washed our hands on every water break and wore masks when we weren’t playing. When we had games either we had no one watch or two of our parents/guardians. It was kind of nice not having my parents yelling at me that I’m a disappointment all the time.
Volleyball season got cut short, but we found out how to make the best of it. We learned how to adjust and work with what we got. I am very grateful that they didn’t cancel our eighth grade volleyball season. Whenever we have troubles in this world we need to learn how to work around it. I’m glad we found a way to work around it.
Students at Willcox Middle School are hard at work Monday to Thursday and have homework over the weekend so when do we have freetime and what do we do? Girls and boys do different things in their freetime so I asked a boy and girl about their freetime. Joseph Sanchez stated ¨For my freetime I go outside and jump on my trampoline, and if I am not doing that then I am playing on my xbox.¨ Jannessa Miller stated ¨ In my freetime I go outside and feed my grandpas cows. Your Free time might also be different depending on where you live.
Since people are working so much, when do students get their freetime.?Joseph Sanchez said ¨ I do not get freetime very much but usually on the weekends and in the afternoons.¨ Jannessa Miller said ¨I get freetime on some weekends and after school.¨ So a lot of people probably have free time on weekends and after school, so how much time do they have? Both students said that they get a couple hours after school and that they have half the day on each day of the weekend.
Do students like freetime more than their work time? If they do like freetime more then do they still want some work? Well both students said that they want more free time then not but want some work. So we learned that Some kids at Willcox Middle School like freetime and have freetime do do things they love and get away from all the work they deal with.
