STONEGATE ELEMENTARY VAPA MISSION STATEMENT
The Mane Stage Collective (Visual and Performing Arts Department) will engage students using critical thinking and analysis by connecting their own thoughts and artistic ideas. Through visual and performing arts students develop empathy building skills by synthesizing their personal experiences with global contexts, histories, and forms of media. Mane Stage Collective provides students with opportunities for design thinking, creative writing, practical application of artistic skill development, logistical planning, and performance. Students will learn about the impact of the arts on our culture as well as discover career opportunities by responding and connecting to industry relevant experts.
Students will pick their classes for 9th grade in the Spring of their 8th grade year. River City Course Catalog can be found here with all Visual and Performing Arts classes for students.
River City Productions every summer organizes a summer camp for 6-8th graders across the district for FREE! CAMP YAMPA is the Creative Arts in Motion Project for Young Aspiring Musicians, Performers, and Actors.
