The Hunter Foundation is pleased to announce that we have increased the Scholarship Award amount from $2,000 to $3,000 for our 2026 Awards! Awarding Vocational Education Scholarships to students in the Whittier Union High School District.
Eligibility requirements
Must be planning to graduate from a WUHSD high school in June
Must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average (GPA) upon graduation
Must demonstrate interest and skill for a vocational or related career
Must be planning to enroll in a college or vocational school to further prepare for your career

The Assistance League® of Whittier Scholarship Program for high school seniors attending Pioneer High School is now accepting applications.

1-page (250 word) essay typewritten titled ‘Who am I’ provide information about your academic and career goals. Include any additional information you would like to share;

Verification of acceptance to attend a four (4) year college or university, as soon as you receive it. The $ 1,000 check will be mailed to the Financial Aid office at the college you attend.

The Whittier Host Lions Club has provided over $2 million in grants and scholarships since 1999 to support the future of local youth. Whittier Host Lions Club Memorial Academic Scholarship supports local high school seniors in the Whittier area who demonstrate academic achievement (GPA) and service. These scholarships assist with costs for 4-year or community colleges.
Eligibility Requirements
Must have a 3.00 GPA or better
Plan on attending a 4 year or community college in the fall
A certified transcript of your high school grades (ask Expanded Horizons for this by 3/10)
A Copy of any SAT, ACT, or equivalent exam scores if taken by 3/10
Copy of any Advance Placement Exam Scores 3/10

All scholarships listed are administered by or managed by the Cerritos Area Alumnae Chapter (CAAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., or by the Crimson and Cream Community Foundation (CCCF). Scholarships listed are for graduating high school seniors, male or female, currently enrolled in one of the schools in the service area of Cerritos Area Alumnae Chapter (CAAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and/or is a participant in Delta GEMS/Embodi youth program.
CAAC’s service area include schools in the following communities: Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, Downey, Hawaiian Gardens, La Mirada, Norwalk, Santa Fe Springs, and Whittier.

Nia and Anthony League have created, The League Family Scholarship, a scholarship on behalf of The League Family w/consultation from their children, Ayah & Amir. This scholarship is intended to benefit middle class families that are often excluded from need-based scholarships.
Scholarship Amount: $1,000 non-renewable
Requirements:
• Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.75
• Recipient must register in an accredited four-year institution of higher learning in the Fall of the
year receiving the award. Student must be at least 2nd Generation College Student (one/both
parents have earned a college degree).
• Enrollment verification will be required via an official university or college document.
