Student is included in the general education setting most of their school day. Students can successfully access the curriculum using accommodation and support services which may include the following:

• Consultative Support

• In-Class Support

• Academic Enrichment (Study Skills)

• Modified Academic Class

All services are determined through the IEP Process.

Mild/Moderate

Student is supported in the modified setting, “Special Day Classes” most of their school day.

• Most academic classes are within a small group setting

• Low pupil/adult ratio

• Student may require from modified curriculum, direct instruction to access standards with modified pacing, classwork, presentation, and/or textbook

Moderate/Severe

• Specialized Academic Instruction within a small group setting

• Low pupil/adult ratio

• Student may require alternate curriculum, increased staff to student ratio and specialized instruction.

• Working with students to develop postsecondary goals

• Provide in class presentations on work readiness skills

• Help students connect with employment opportunities in the community

• Explore college and vocational training options for after high school
