The 2024-2025 school year represents my fourteenth year teaching science in the Whittier Union High School District and my second year at Pioneer High School, having previously taught Biology, Chemistry, and Computer Science at Santa Fe and La Serna high schools.
After graduating from high school, I attended the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), graduating with my B.S. in Biological Sciences. I then completed the Teacher Education program at California Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona). I hold a California Single-Subject Professional Clear Teaching Credential with authorization in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as well as an authorization to teach English Learners. I am a Highly Qualified Teacher under the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB).
