Participation is strongly encouraged but NOT mandatory. There will be no academic penalty for not completing Summer Bridge coursework.
Students who do not participate in the Summer Bridge program will be marked “excused” in the Genesis gradebook in September. This excuses the students and does NOT equate to receiving a 0.

The programs you use will depend on the grade level you were in during the 2019-2020 school year.
Imagine Math: Students entering grades Grades 1-12 in the 2021-2022 school year
Imagine Language and Literacy: Students entering grades grades 1-6 in the 2021-2022 school year
The Summer Bridge window is July 6 - July 30.
For each week in the window, it is recommended that students spend:
30 minutes per day, 5 days per week, on Imagine Language and Literacy
30 minutes per day, 5 days per week, on Imagine Math
In both Language Arts and Mathematics, students will be prompted to take a benchmark diagnostic upon their first time logging in. This benchmark will create an individualized learning path that aligns instruction to each student's individual needs.
The platform is always accessible making the schedule flexible. Students can log in at any time to complete work, and can break up the recommended approximately 20 hours for the program as needed. If a student is unable to participate, there will be no academic penalty.

Outside of the assignments in each student's individual learning path, no formal assessments will be given.
The program is provided by the District district free of charge.
A device will be provided for anyone in need. Contact your child's principal prior to 6/18/21 to arrange for device pick. If after 6/18/21, devices will be provided by the district. You will need to send an email requesting a device to wtsd.summerbridge@gmail.com.
