United States History II R/S are survey courses that intend to prepare students to live and be responsible citizens in an ever changing world. These courses are designed to introduce students to the political, economic and cultural challenges, conditions and changes of the past that have contributed to our present-day society. Beginning with the post-Civil War era, students will trace the major events that shaped America from the turn of the Twentieth Century and beyond.  These courses will teach continuity and change; respect for rights and abilities of the individual, concern for the welfare of others and tolerance of differences among peoples. The following are incorporated in the units of study: economics, geography, literacy in social studies, the use and analysis of primary sources, the history of the United States, New Jersey, and the World.
