-He was born in Iowa, but only lived there a few months.
-He attended University of Delaware as a biology major.
-He majored in Mathematics and minored in Psychology at Rutgers University.
-He lived with a quadriplegic friend for one school year.
-He has helped build dozens of houses with Habitat for Humanity, including houses in the following states: New Jersey, Florida, Vermont, Connecticut, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
-He hasn't eaten meat since September 1995.
-His great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandparents, Jan and Lambertje Strijcker, arrived in America in 1652 and helped found New Amsterdam (which is now Manhattan) and Flatbush (in what is now Brooklyn).
-He has no idea what his other 2046 other great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandparents were doing at that time.
-In June 2020, he used his mad genealogy researching skills to reunite a brother and sister who had lost touch with each other when their parents separated them in the 1950s. They are his second cousins, once-removed.
-He has been teaching AP Calculus AB and BC at Woodbridge High School since 2008.
-He has two terrific daughters . . . and one that is just so-so.

-He has solar panels on his house and a plug-in vehicle. So, his car runs (in part) on power from the sun!
-He likes to cook (baking, especially) and has some of his favorite recipes available for all to see.
