In-Class Instruction:
1. Please come to class prepared. This means coming to class prepared to hand in completed assignments or coming to class with a pen or pencil.
2. Stay in your seats during instructional time.
3. Raise your hand if you have a question, need assistance, or would like to use the restroom.
4. Please be on time to class.
5. Utilize appropriate language in class. Profane language is UNACCEPTABLE.
6. NO form of BULLYING will be tolerated. If it is heard or seen it will be reported and consequences will be followed according to the WHS school and state policies.
7. NO FOOD OR DRINKS ARE ALLOWED IN THE SCIENCE CLASSROOM. This is a safety hazard.
8. Cell Phone Usage: Cell phones are to be put away while I am teaching and during tests and quizzes. Cell phones are ONLY allowed while you work on an assignment independently. If inappropriate cell phone usage is observed you will be asked to put your cell phone away.
9. If you are absent it is your responsibility to ask for any missed work upon returning from your absence. ACS is not an absence. You are still required to hand in and complete assignments as if they were in class. It is every student’s responsibility to check Google Classroom for missing work.
10. Please do not hesitate in asking questions. If you are unsure about an assignment instructions or an assignment due date please feel free to ask.
During Virtual Instruction:
1. Make sure your device is fully charged.
2. Arrive to class a few minutes early to your online meeting to ensure you are prepared.
3. Gather any necessary documents, texts, or files you may need for the day.
4. Set up at a table or desk for comfort and organization: you want to be able to keep your texts, notebook, and device close by for easy use.
5. Make sure your microphone is off while others are speaking. Even if you are quiet, background noise may distract others.
6. Pay attention to the speaker; if you have a question, use the hand raising feature or type your question in the chat. Do not interrupt the speaker.
7. Your video should be on at all times during the meeting. If you have to step away, turn off your video. Make sure your image that shows when you turn off your video is school appropriate.
8. If you’d like to use a background, please make sure it is school appropriate and does not distract other students.
9. Stay on topic in the chat. Be polite, appropriate, and respectful.
10. Dress appropriately.
11. Avoid doing work while laying down or on a bed.
