Hello and Welcome to my Google Site.
All info for class (notes/classwork/homework/review sheets/etc.) Google Classroom.
I also use the Remind App for homework/upcoming tests/other important info. IN THE FALL: For Block 1, just text @2e7a4g8 the number 81010, for Block 2, just text @e86d6ahto the number 81010, or for Block 4 just text @bf2afh the number 81010, and you're all set! IN THE SPRING: For Block 2 just text TBD to the number 81010, and for Block 4 just text TDB to the number 81010
I also upload class notes (daily) and any class work we may do onto Google Classroom. STUDENTS (or parents), please go to the appropriate classroom and you will find any and all notes and such you may have missed due to an absence or activity that prevented you from being in class on the calendar. I will upload test reviews the day we test on the previous chapter. It would be best if you gave yourself access to this review (either print or write it out) so you can fill it out and question any items that you may struggle with AS WE GO THROUGH THE CHAPTER.
Grading policy is the standard R/S track policy as mandated by the district. 50% major (tests/projects) & 50% minor (classwork, homework, and quizzes).
Any late work is accepted, but 10 points per school day late will be deducted. I cap the deductions at a 50, so a student will receive no lower on any classwork, homework, or project that is turned in. I do give 0s in the gradebook for any work not submitted (EVEN IF THE STUDENT WAS ABSENT!!!), but will adjust the grade as I received the work . This way, the student and parent/guardian knows EXACTLY what the accurate grade is at any given time. For any test or quiz that has earned a grade lower than 70, I allow for a redo at a date determined by myself and the student.
STUDENTS: I am looking forward to being your teacher. I expect you to follow our school rules (no phones/eating in class), come prepared to learn a little history, have a notebook IF YOU PREFER WRITING NOTES (up to you), and of course your charged Chromebook.
PARENTS: Any questions, don't hesitate to call or email. I am a parent too. I get it.
Thank you,
Chris Modeszto
