Grading Procedures

S-Track

50% Major Assessments (Tests)

• 5 are required each marking period

• must be completed individually

• if a test is not passed with a grade of 65% or higher, you will have an opportunity to complete a makeup

• score a hat trick (3 correct in succession) to receive extra-credit! Persistence in problem-solving is rewarded!!!

50% Minor Assessments (Homework and Quizzes*)

• incomplete homework will receive a grade of 50%

• no homework completed or missing homework will result in a grade of 0% 

• students can make up homework prior to testing on the related topics in an attempt to eliminate zeros from the gradebook

*we will have weekly quizzes to help you recall what you are learning throughout the week and provide you detailed feedback on problem-solving prior to your tests

H-Track

60% Major Assessments (Tests, Projects, and Quizzes)

• 5 are required each marking period

• each must be completed individually

40% Minor Assessments (Program Code and Homework)

AP

75% Major Assessments (Tests / Portfolio)

• 5 are required each marking period

• each must be completed individually

25% Minor Assessments (Self Check Qs and Homework)
