Vowel Teams

A  vowel  team  syllable  has  two  or  more  letters 

that  stand  for  a  vowel  sound. 

The  letters  always  stay  in  the  same  syllable.

The  consonants w and y sometimes  act  as  vowels in  vowel  teams,  such  as ow and ay.
