Class Code of Conduct
Each class will make up their own code of conduct
Classroom Procedures:
When you enter class, take the most direct route to your assigned seat, read the Agenda and Objectives, write down tonight's Homework, and begin the Do Now.
Getting up from your seat Typically you should remain in your seat. You may get up to use the pencil sharpener, tape, stapler, art supplies, or borrow a pencil during independent work (not when the teacher is teaching or explaining directions). Please take care of these shared items. You DO have to ask to leave the room to use the restroom. Never leave the classroom without a hall pass.
Sink policy Our classroom has a sink. Only use it with teacher permission.
Early Finishers If you finish your work before everyone else, you can: read a book, do a brain exercise, complete an exit ticket (earn a team point for every 5 you complete), or work on missing science work.
Absent Policy: If you ever miss class, you are responsible for getting your work from the Absent Folder. For every ONE day you are absent, you get TWO days to make up the work. (Ex: If you are absent on Monday and return to school on Tuesday, your make-up work is due when you come to class on Thursday).
Dismissal The teacher dismisses you, not the bell!
Consequences for bad behavior:
Warning
Student- teacher conference in the hall
Phone call home
Parent-teacher conference with guidance
Major disruptions will get written up and sent to the office
