My job as a dance teacher is to bring people outside of the arts in, to help them develop a passion for dance. I am interested in exploring different ways to make the standard curriculum engaging for students. As an educator and artist, my goals are to promote community, growth, and acceptance in the classroom, while also setting high expectations.
Fun Facts about Ms. Jackson
Ms. Jackson has trained in various styles including Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, West African, and Hip Hop.
Ms. Jackson completed her B.F.A in Dance Performance and her master’s degree in K-12 education with a PK-12 dance teaching certification at Rutgers University ( Mason Gross School of the Arts)
She is a dancer on The Wannabes, a hip-hop dance troupe and has performed in the Bridge showcase in Los Angeles, California and in Elements showcase in Boston, Massachusetts.
