Course Overview:This 6th grade science course at AMS is designed to inspire curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help students better understand the world around them through scientific investigation and discovery. Throughout the school year, students will engage in hands-on activities, laboratory investigations, collaborative projects, and real-world problem-solving while developing the skills scientists use every day. Science is most meaningful when students actively participate. Students should come to class each day prepared to engage in discussions, complete hands-on investigations, work collaboratively with peers, and maintain a growth mindset. Mistakes are an important part of learning, and our classroom will be a safe, respectful environment where curiosity is encouraged and every student has the opportunity to succeed. I look forward to an exciting year of exploration, discovery, and scientific learning together!
