Hello, my name is Jennifer Woods and this is my sixth year in the Woodbridge School District and my fifth year teaching at Lynn Crest School. I am excited to be your child's fifth-grade teacher.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I have been living in Metuchen, NJ since 2008. I am married and have three children- Juliana (18), Jason (16), and Jordana (13) and yes, my husband’s name also begins with a J- Jason.

I have a Masters’ Degree in Special Education from Hunter College in NYC. I have been in the Education field since 1999. I have taught kindergarten, second, third, fourth, and fifth grade as well as done Early Intervention for ages 0-3 years old. In my spare time, I enjoy running and working out. I also enjoy spending weekends watching my children play sports. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and taking trips to visit family (who lives in Brooklyn and Baltimore). I enjoy listening to music, reading (when I get a chance), travelling and going out to eat.

I believe your child learns best through a happy classroom environment where there is small groups, hands-on learning and peer interaction. I also believe it is very important to have open communication between the parent and teacher for your child's development and learning.

I look forward to an exciting year of learning and growing! If you have any questions/ concerns, please feel free to reach out using my district email -jennifer.woods@woodbridge.k12.nj.us

I am very excited about teaching your fifth grade children this school year and preparing them for middle school!
