Cell Phone Policy

There will be a strict cell phone policy in my class.  All cell phones MUST be on silent mode and kept in students' pockets, bags or stored in the classroom cell phone holder, for the duration of class.  No Exceptions.  

Students who violate the Policy:

1st Offense: Verbal Warning.

2nd Offense: Student will place phone at the designated area in the classroom. A phone call will be made to the Parent/Guardian. 

3rd Offense: Administrative Disciplinary Action.

There have been numerous studies done on the negative effects of chronic cell phone use. Use of cell phones in classrooms have adverse effects on the student who is using the cell phone, as well as surrounding students.
