My Educational Background
I am so excited to be back at Lafayette Estates School #25! This will be my twelfth year at School #25, however, I have been teaching in Woodbridge Township for the past 33 years as a Special Education teacher. I graduated from Monmouth University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. As an In-Class Resource teacher, I have the unique opportunity to work collaboratively with the classroom teacher in order to ensure individual student needs are met and success is obtained within the classroom setting.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that an elementary school provides children with essential learning that lasts a lifetime. Children discover themselves and gain knowledge about other people and the world around them. As one of your child's teachers, I will work to understand each child's needs and provide appropriate learning experiences, motivations, variety, and connections to real life. I set high expectations and believe that every child can be a successful learner. My goal is to instill a love of learning in each student who enters my classroom. By reinforcing what I do in school at home, I hope you can help me achieve this goal.
My Family
When I'm not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My daughter, Summer and my son, Brandon are also elementary school teachers. We enjoy traveling and watching our favorite sports teams in action. This photo was taken last summer at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. We drove all the way to Jackson, Wyoming and saw many beautiful sights!
