Block 2: Individual programs/Group
Block 3: Lunch/Gym
Block 4: Daily Meeting/Independent Schedules
Life skills/social skills: My goal is to help students build independence, confidence, and essential skills they can carry with them beyond the classroom. We focus on practical, real-world learning—everything from daily living and social skills to communication, vocational training, and community involvement. Every student brings something unique to our classroom, and I’m committed to creating a supportive, inclusive environment where all learners can grow and thrive. (SP 2 lifeskills is with Ms. Abadir)
Individual Programs: Instruction is tailored to meet each student’s individual IEP goals, ensuring that their unique strengths, needs, and progress are supported every step of the way. Students will work 1:1 with classroom staff.
Gym: Ms. Rondeau
Daily Meeting: This time is used to build communication, social interaction, and functional academic skills in a supportive group setting.
During Daily Meeting, we typically:
Review the date, day of the week, and weather
Discuss the daily schedule and any special events or changes
Practice calendar skills, counting, and number recognition
Participate in greetings and social turn-taking
Sometimes include current events, song of the day and mindfulness activities
This routine promotes independence, reinforces key life skills, and encourages active participation. It also gives students a chance to practice using visuals, communication devices, or verbal language depending on their individual needs.
Office hours: Please contact me if you would like to meet/phone call. My office hours 2:15-3:00 and block 3 (11:45-12:50)
