LATE WORK IS NOT ACCEPTED. SCHOLARS CANNOT REDO AN ASSIGNMENT FOR A HIGHER GRADE
AP World History is a college level course. We study world events from 1200 through modern time. The course is broken up into 4 themed time periods and then again into 9 units. Each unit is again broken down into a specific topic that relates to that unit. We use two PDF versions of books along with videos , websites, and materials to review and learn information. Most of the learning of facts and events is up to the students and class is spent working on skill development and connections in history.
Scholars have at least 5 major assessments per marking period. These count for 75% of the marking period grade. The remaining 25% comes from class assignments, homework, and quizzes.
Scholars will need to set up an account on the AP Central website. Use a valid email address because you get a lot of updates and information from the College Board. Detailed information is found on the site link below. Signing up for the AP exam takes place before mid November.
After the course is over, I run review sessions to go over information and review test strategies.
