1. Turn off your cell phone and put it away. If your cell phone is seen or heard being used in class without teacher permission the Electronic Devices classroom policy will be enforced.
2. Open up Google Classroom
3. Review recent posts and DO Now Assignments
4. At the end of class, make sure you take your Chromebook and belongings with you.
5. Stay seated until the bell rings. DO NOT line up at the door at the end of class.
Internet Access
Internet access is provided in the school and is to be used exclusively for completing class assignments.
You MAY NOT use the Internet to access websites unrelated to class assignments, email, chat rooms, or
instant messaging.
You may not use the network to download any files from the Internet, send/receive files to/from another user.
Violation of school policies will result in applicable consequences.
Note: Students and Parents are required to complete the “Acceptable Internet Use Agreement” available on the Genesis parent portal. For further information, please refer to Policy #6142.10,
Internet Safety and Technology, and Regulation #6142.10, Acceptable Internet Use. Please beadvised that when using any district issued electronic device(s), said device(s) may record and/or collect informationconcerning the students’ activities or use of the device. The school district, however, shall not use any such capabilities in a manner that would violate the privacy rights of the students or any individual residing with the students.
Electronic Devices:
● Use of personal electronics is NOT permitted in class unless directed by teacher. Phones must be either turned
off or on silent (not vibrate). This includes cell phones, tablets/iPads, MP3 players, cameras, etc.
○ 1st offense - verbal warning
○ 2nd offense - Teacher holds device(s) until end of class
○ Subsequent or any additional offenses to this will result in enforcement of school policy
School District Policy:
Equipment such as iPods, iPhones, cell phones, etc., ARE NOT PERMITTED to be used on schools grounds at any time during school hours, except during those times permitted by the school principal. These items will be confiscated and returned to parents/guardians only. Equipment needed for class projects is to be checked in the office. Refer to Policy #5132, Student Dress and Grooming, and Regulation #5131a, Student Conduct and Discipline. The Woodbridge Township School District is not responsible for lost/stolen/damaged items that are not checked at the school’s main office. (See Student Handbook)
Attendance Policy:
Attendance issues will be written up on the even numbered offense.
2 unexcused lates to class = verbal warning in class; email home
4 unexcused lates = write-up; warning from administration; email home
6 unexcused lates = 1 block of ACS; email home
8 unexcused lates = full day of ACS; email home
9 unexcused lates = no write up; loss of credit issued by Guidance
10 unexcused lates = full day of ACS; email home
8 unexcused absences = loss of credit issued by Guidance
1 cut = ACS
2 cuts = Loss of credit
