-Explain your Class Grade Breakdown (1/3 Assignments, 1/3 Tests, 1/3 Project)
-Modules I cover in this class/Each module has video clips to watch pertaining to each topic I cover in class
-Important Sites/Info during Free time
-Bully Video/Interventions
-Review Games (Time Permitting)
-Open Notes Final Test!!!!! (If class behavior is appropriate)
-Copy down or take pictures of Test Notes during PowerPoints
-Explain the Project
-Choose Project Topics
-Project Due Dates
-Work on/Complete Projects During Class (should not be Homework)
-No Homework in this class (only Makeup work when absent or work not finished)
-Any Missing Assignments or Tests go in Grade Book as “0” and or marked as missing until they turned in
-Extra Credit work in Partners, by yourself, or in groups……….
-DAY #2 OF CLASS: Do Assignment #1 (All about me Ice Breaker activity answering 20 Questions about yourself)
*We will be having class together every other day for approximately 2 months……..
*Please understand I am not trying to bog you down with work but trying to cover important topics to learn about.
*PLEASE VERY CAREFULLY READ THE CLASS DIRECTIONS THAT FOLLOW OR JUST FOLLOW ALONG ON THE HANDOUT................................
*Your overall Grade for my Q1 A & B Day Health classes will be broken down into 3 parts:
*1/3: ASSIGNMENT AVERAGE (approximately 10 total Assignments)
*The ASSIGNMENTS will either consist of Questions to answer or Other types of work such as worksheets. The assignments can be done on paper and you can take pictures and attach them or just create a document. Either works just as long as you turn them in and I can see them.
-For the CHAPTER REVIEW ASSIGNMENTS OR QUESTIONS all the answers can be found in the lesson in which the questions are listed under.
*IF YOU ARE ABSENT OR DO NOT FINISH AN ASSIGNMENT DURING CLASS FOR SOME REASON YOU WILL SEE A GRADE OF “50” UNTIL YOU COMPLETE YOUR MISSING ASSIGNMENT. ONCE YOU COMPLETE ANY MISSING OR INCOMPLETE ASSIGNMENT I WILL UPDATE AND FIX YOUR GRADE……….
*1/3: PROJECT GRADE (8 or 9 slide PowerPoint/9 Questions to answer/Slide Presentation)
-There will be an assignment created for students along with directions to create and complete your 8 or 9 slide PowerPoint Presentation.
-There will be an assignment created for students along with directions to create and complete your 9 Questions Paper.
-You will also present your Slides to the class after we finish completing our projects when we return to school after Thanksgiving Break as well.
-We will spend 4 entire classes working on and completing Projects. You will have more than enough class time to complete your Project during class.
-Once I post the topic Choices the first person to choose the topic of their choice (I am going in order of your responses) will have that topic to research. You will choose topics today.
-You will receive copy of the Project Directions to choose topics from today and to use to carefully follow the directions step by step.
*1/3: TEST AVERAGE (3 total tests)
-Before Each Test I will teach a PowerPoint Lesson and give you notes to study before you take each Test. There will be 3 total Tests and again I will cover the information that will be on your Tests before you take each Test.
*I am planning to do a Review Game for one of your Tests the day before you take Test #2 for the entire Block to help better prepare you for those Tests.
*The First 2 Tests will be 25 Questions consisting of Matching Vocabulary Words, Multiple Choice Questions, and True/False Questions.
*Your Final Test will be open notes as a Reward for you as long as you are quiet and respectful while I teach my PowerPoint Lessons……………..
*Once again Any Assignments you do not complete by the due date and time will be posted in your Gradebook as a grade of “0” until you turn in the Assignment or Test you are missing. I WILL REMOVE ANY GRADES OF “0” ONCE YOU HAND IN ANY MISSING WORK AFTER THE DUE DATE WITH NO PENALTY. YOUR PROJECT IS THE ONLY GRADE THAT HAS A PENALTY FOR BEING LATE.
*I am also planning to show you videos about bullying, interventions, and other Health related topics.
