Nice to meet you! My name is Ron Pruitt, and I am your school's instrumental music teacher and band director. This is my seventh year working in Woodbridge Township, and my twelveth as a teacher overall.
- I grew up right here in Woodbridge Township! As a kid I attended school's #14, #20, CMS, and CHS. And as a teacher, I have taught at Elementary schools #1, 9, 11, 18, and 27. Before coming back to Woodbridge, I taught music in Matawan, Parsippany-Troy Hills, and South Brunswick.
- Though I perform on many instruments, my very favorite is the saxophone, which I have been playing for 21 years
- My wife, Marissa, is also one of our township's great vocal music teachers. She's been at school #25 since 2021
- I love music of all styles and generations, but a few of my top favorites are The Beatles, Louis Armstrong, Beethoven, and Frank Sinatra, just to name a few!
- I'm an avid traveler, and have driven in every state in our country except Alaska, which I hope to visit in the near future
- I've been a member of the Woodbridge Elks Lodge since 2017, and served as an officer/ committee chairperson for four years
- I have an energetic, rambunctious one year old son named James
- I love being in the kitchen almost as much as I love playing music. I worked as a cook for 10 years, and now I drive my family crazy with all my new recipes!
- My other favorite hobbies are reading (especially US History), hiking, seeing new places, and spending time with my family
Now that you know a little bit about me, I can't wait to get to know you, too!
