NJSLA-S

NJSLA-S Grade 11

The New Jersey Student Learning Assessment for Science (NJSLA-S) measures student proficiency with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Science. This assessment has replaced the NJBCT (formerly referred to as the Biology Competency Test.) The NJSLA-S will consist of four 60-minute sections administered over two days. All current Grade 11 students are expected to take this computer-based assessment in May. The assessment will gauge their understanding of all major science categories including life science, physical science, earth and space science as well as engineering design.
