WELCOME TO 5th GRADE!
MEET THE TEACHERS

My name is Mr. Breney, and I’m very excited to be teaching 5th grade again this year. This is my fourth year teaching fifth grade at Ross Street School!

Over the course of my teaching career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching first, second, third, fourth, and now fifth grade. Each experience has helped me grow as an educator and deepened my passion for teaching.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Stockton University and later completed my teaching credentials at Saint Peter’s University. I’m thrilled to bring my knowledge and experience into the classroom to help enrich our students’ learning and growth.

I’m looking forward to a fantastic school year!

I am so excited to be a part of your child’s fifth grade team this year! I am thrilled to be co-teaching with Mr. Breney, and I look forward to a wonderful year of growth and learning together.

This year marks my 20th year in education. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching preschool, preschool disabled, K–4 self-contained special education, 2nd grade general education, and resource room for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Now, I am excited to bring that experience into 5th grade here at Ross Street School!

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton and went on to complete my Master’s degree at Kean University. Most recently, I completed the two-year Orton Gillingham Teacher Certification program at Fairleigh Dickinson University, which has further deepened my passion for literacy and supporting all types of learners.

I look forward to working together to make this a successful and memorable year for your child!
